It is no big surprise that we evolve as artists. There are very few who take the well defined path to their creative endgame; I am no exception. I am—everyday—discovering who I am as an artist.
It makes sense that I would have the idea, the tools necessary, the plan and the ability to bring these ingredients together in some cauldron of creativity, but, most often, I have none of these things. I do, however, have one thing: motivation. I want to get better. I want to CREATE. The end result doesn’t have to be perfect, it doesn’t even need to be ‘good’ by anyone else’s standards. For me, it just has to be done.
This past weekend’s shoot with Shaye was somewhat of a life-saver for me. I had scheduled with two other models on Saturday, who ended up not being able to make their appointments. A THIRD booking, this one on Sunday, cancelled at the last minute. Thankfully, Shaye was able to throw a few things together and meet me out at the shoot location before the sun went down.
